K9 Friends has been in operation since 1989 and their main aim has always been to rescue and rehome stray and abandoned dogs. As a volunteer-run organisation, they take in dogs and care for them until new homes can be found; giving them shelter and high standards of kennelling and veterinary care. They also help reunite lost dogs with their owners, offer help and advice to new pet owners and endeavour to educate the public and encourage a responsible dog-owning population in the UAE.

A private animal shelter that was established in 2013 and relies solely on public support to operate. Managed by Amirah William (Shelter Operations), Mohammad Naveed (Foreman), Fiona Myers-Watson (Rehoming), Abilash Tripakkal (Activities). The shelter has a paid staff of sixteen and approximately 100 volunteers. The shelter houses and cares for 780 dogs, 15 cats and 4 wonky donkeys!

Established in 2010 by a group of volunteers, RAK AWC has quickly grown to be the premier provider of animal services in the UAE. Based in the beautiful Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, RAK AWC is set on an exclusive plot of 22,000 square meters which includes indoor air-conditioned cattery and kennels, a fully equipped vet clinic and the largest open-air dog park in the UAE. RAK AWC specialises in animal adoption services and is active in the community with a series of education programmes aimed at school children to educate on animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. They typically find forever homes for over 500 animals per year. The staff at RAK AWC are passionate about gaining rights for animals and actively participate in giving a voice to the voiceless.

Amanda's Animal Rescue in Dubai is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need across the UAE. The rescue primarily helps abandoned, injured, and stray animals, offering them shelter, medical care, and loving homes. Through the work of volunteers and community support, Amanda's Animal Rescue plays a vital role in animal welfare, raising awareness about responsible pet ownership and advocating for the humane treatment of animals. The organization also runs various adoption drives and fosters initiatives to ensure every animal finds a safe and caring environment.
